Aries is Voxativ’s analog high-pass filter designed specifically for the Hagen² and Alberich² loudspeakers. With a cutoff at 50 Hz, it removes the very low frequencies that cause unnecessary cone excursion, giving the driver mechanical relief and ensuring unknown performance even at higher levels.

By taking this load off the wideband driver, Aries enhances clarity and control, allowing the midrange to open up naturally and maintaining transparency across demanding musical passages.

The filter also linearizes the impedance to a nominal 8 Ω, making the speaker far more compatible with solid-state amplifiers, which benefit from a stable and predictable load.

Although the same function could be achieved with a DSP, Aries performs this task purely in the analog domain – an option created for listeners who prefer a non-digital path and value a clean, purist signal chain.
